Making a Will

Preparing for your appointment

Wills, Trusts and Tax Planning

What the lawyer will need you to have ready or have thought about to make a will is:

·        Your identification and proof of address – so documents like passport, driving licence, or utility bills.  This is because lawyers have you comply with anti-money laundering regulations and identify their clients.

·        An idea of what assets you own and what you want to do with them in your will

·        If you have an existing will.  The lawyer may want to see that

·        The full details and correct names of people or charities you may want to leave things to in your will.
